TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

TabTrade - What It Is

TabTrade went live in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.

That last detail matters. It means the founder knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. But better than someone with no brokerage experience.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.

The instrument list: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is not narrow.

What You Trade On

You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Access to both matters. Pick what suits your style.

MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.

cTrader is the alternative. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Plenty of traders find it more natural after comparing.

FIX API is there for algo traders but needs the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be coming. That will make the platform set when it arrives.

What You Pay

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. No minimum deposit. Works for beginners.

Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker requires zero deposit.

VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.

Execution Speed

This is where this broker stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers operate at a much wider range.

Does this affect you? If you scalp, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That says something about priorities.

Combine that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package holds up. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.

Safety

Here is the detail that requires honesty. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If that makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

But. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this make it safe. It does inform your decision.

The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off makes sense comes down to your priorities.

Welcome Offer

Tab Trade has bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard deposit match. You put money in, the broker add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before you commit.
